GrowStoke ("we," "us," or "our") provides fanbase management and communication tools that help musicians, creators and businesses ("Creators") stay in touch with their fans. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to growstoke.com, Creator pages hosted on our platform, and messages sent through our service.
When you join a Creator's fan list, we collect the information you choose to provide: your name, email address, and optionally your phone number, city, state, zip code, and mailing address. Creators may also add or import fan information you previously shared with them directly (for example, a signup sheet at a show).
When Creators use GrowStoke, we collect their account information (name, email, password) and the content they create (pages, messages, links).
Like most websites, we automatically receive basic technical information such as browser type and pages visited. Creator pages may include analytics and advertising pixels (such as Meta Pixel, Google Analytics, or TikTok Pixel) configured by the Creator; these third-party tools have their own privacy policies.
We use fan information for one purpose: so the Creator whose list you joined can communicate with you — by email and, if you provided your phone number, by text message. Messages may include news about shows, new music, releases, merchandise, and other updates from that Creator. We also use information to operate, secure, and improve the GrowStoke service.
Providing a phone number is always optional — you can join any Creator's list with email alone. If you do provide your number and consent to texts, you'll receive SMS updates from that Creator through GrowStoke. Message frequency varies by Creator; typically 2–6 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply.
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help. See our Messaging Terms & Conditions for full details.
Creators can connect their Instagram professional account so fans can join their list from Instagram. When you send a Creator's keyword in a direct message, reply to their story with it, or comment it on their post or Reel, Instagram shares with GrowStoke your Instagram-scoped account ID, your username, and the text of that message or comment. GrowStoke then sends you a direct message (for a comment, a private reply to it) and saves only what you choose to reply with: your email address and, if you want, your phone number and zip code. GrowStoke never posts to Instagram, does not read the Creator's other messages, and does not keep other message text.
To have your Instagram information deleted, remove GrowStoke under Instagram's Settings → Apps and websites (Instagram tells us and we delete what we received through it), contact the Creator, or email hello@growstoke.com. Creators can disconnect Instagram from GrowStoke at any time, which removes GrowStoke's access to their account.
When a Creator pays for a plan or a send, the payment is handled by Stripe. Card and bank details go straight to Stripe; GrowStoke never sees or stores them. We keep only what we need to run the account: which plan it's on, its billing status, and Stripe's reference numbers. Stripe's own privacy policy covers what it collects.
Fan information belongs to the relationship between you and the Creator whose list you joined. We share it with that Creator and with the service providers who make delivery possible (such as our email and SMS delivery providers and our database host), who may only use it to provide services to us. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We may disclose information if required by law.
We keep fan information for as long as the Creator maintains their list, or until you ask for it to be removed. We use industry-standard safeguards — including encrypted connections and access controls — to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data accordingly.
GrowStoke is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date.
